Meet our Team

Randi Plouffe

I moved to Vermont from Florida in 1995 and have found a great appreciation for this beautiful state and it's people.  I began grooming at the age of 16 and have always had a passion for grooming.  I have practiced my skill set in a variety of settings from boarding, veterinary hospitals, to grooming shops. In 2006, I made the decision to open my own shop. As a music lover and a self proclaimed "deadhead" the name of my business was inspired by my favorite group, the Grateful Dead.

In 2014, a fire occurred in the building that we were located in causing us to have to relocate. I found a new home for my business just down the road in the beautiful Village Center of Hinesburg . The new shop is larger in order to accommodate all our wonderful furry friends. I am very grateful for all of my customers and everything I have gained through the years in this profession. I have formed a wonderful team of certified groomers and the positive energy in my business has never been stronger. Please stop in and meet my team and say hi to Sonny and I!

I am originally from Nova Scotia, Canada. I moved to Vermont in 1992 and grew up in South Burlington. After completing High School, I returned to Nova Scotia to attend Acadia University. This opportunity allowed me receive a great education, while reconnecting with friends and family. In 2007, I decided to pursue my Masters of Education at Griffith University, in Australia. Even though, I loved my experiences in Canada and Australia, I decided to come back to Vermont, after graduation to begin my career as an Elementary School teacher. After working as a teacher for seven years, I realized that something was missing from my life. I wanted to pursue a career that allowed me to be artistic and around animals everyday.

Once, I knew I wanted to work with animals,  I went to school to learn how to become a Pet Groomer (in 2016). I wanted to pursue this career, because taking care of animals has been a passion of mine, since I was a little girl. When I was 14 years old, I began working at a local farm in Charlotte. I enjoyed being with all the animals on the farm, as well as doing the dirty work to ensure they had clean stalls, food, and fresh water. Grooming horses and dogs has always a rewarding bonding experience for myself and the animal.

Outside of work, my passions include photography, rock climbing, dancing, yoga, hiking and snowboarding. Also, I am the proud owner of a beagle lab mix named Jasper, who is eight years old and we go on many fun adventures together. I look forward to meeting you and pampering your fur child, as if it was my own.
